Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Our Year 6 students enjoyed a 5 day excursion to Canberra earlier in Term 3 where they experienced Parliament House, The Australian War Memorial, The Australian Mint and The Australian Institute of Sport, just to name a few.
Our students also had an opportunity for some snowball throwing fun with a quick detour to a snow field.
This was such an amazing opportunity for our students and they all thoroughly enjoyed this learning experience.
Each year in Term 1, all students participate in the WAVES Program.
Wellbeing, Awareness, Versatility, Environmental, Surf Program - W.A.V.E.S
This program provides activities that both improve our student’s fitness and their understanding of safe play and knowledge of the risks and benefits of the ocean.
These structured activities take place at Big Beach - Forsters Beach Scotts Head.
This program is facilitated by our trained teaching staff who annually complete their School Surfing Supervisor Award Proficiency with APOLA Inc.
During Term 4, all of our students have been able to learn the fundamentals of Lawn Bowls thanks to a Sporting Schools Grant and Bowls Australia.
All of our students have been enjoying 60 minute sessions of bowls with 'Rookie Rollers' Bowls Australia trained instructors.
Our local bowling club - Club Scotts, have been very generous in allowing this program to be conducted on their bowling greens. All of our students have thoroughly enjoyed this sporting program this Term and we hope to continue this throughout 2026 and beyond.
