Bangalow Palm (Archontophoenix cunninghamiana)

A tall rainforest palm in NSW and QLD, up to 20 metres.

Leaf fronds make excellent containers for multiple uses.

Flowers occur in mid-summer.

Bright red, round fruit hang below the leaves and attract birds. It provides important and reliable food for fruit pigeons and flying foxes.
