A clumping grass to 1 metre high, spreading to 2 metres.
Leaves are stiff with sharp edges (be careful).
The heavily scented nectar on white/cream flowers attracts pollinating beetles which are then eaten by birds and animals. The seeds are also eaten by native animals.
It is a soil stabiliser preventing erosion and has multiple uses.
