Bloodwood (Corymbia sp.)

A medium to large tree to 35 metres. Rough bark is pale grey-brown and tessellated (checks). Kino or sap can sometimes be seen coming from the trunk.

Scented leaves are approximately 15cm long and 4cm wide and thinly curved.

Summer/autumn flowers are white.

Fruit is a vase-shaped capsule, approximately 1.5cm long and 1cm wide.

Hardwood timber.
